As part of the development of public spaces, the city of Vincennes wishes to renovate Rue de la Jarry, turning it into a \u201cv\u00e9lo-rue\u201d dedicated to pedestrians and cycles. This 750-meter-long thoroughfare in the east of the city serves several major facilities: from the town hall, it leads to the new high school and the Isabelle Autissier gymnasium, to the Place Diderot and its market, and the technical municipal center. The project aims to widen the sidewalks to make more room for pedestrians, while increasing the amount of green space to improve the living conditions of the existing trees, all of which will be preserved. All rainwater from the 8,500 m\u00b2 of developed area will be directed to rain gardens, which will feed the trees and enhance the urban sponge effect.
