Peintres et Médecins urban renewal
Mantes-la-Jolie, 2010-2016
The urban renewal of Peintres and Médecins Nord neighborhoods clarifies the urban fabric and restores the lost relationship between the Val Fourré and the Seine. The river creates the identity of this large development and extends in the area with a large landscaped dock that crosses the entire district. This large-scale public space reorganizes the public spaces of Val Fourré and accommodates a wide variety of recreational uses: sport fields, playgrounds and relaxation areas. In the center of the neighborhood, at the axis of the landscaped dock and facing the Fragonnard shopping center and the new mosque, a square creates a new centrality open to the territory and the surrounding public spaces.
